K-Gr 3-Bright, bold cartoon illustrations accompany simple texts, providing excellent descriptions of how the lungs and brain function. Breathe also includes a brief explanation of asthma and inhalers, a labeled diagram of the lungs and diaphragm, breathing activities, and information about stethoscopes. Think explains that a concussion is a brain injury that comes from bumping one's head "really hard." Pictures and text encourage the use of a helmet when riding a bicycle or playing rough games. A labeled diagram of the brain; an activity involving right- or left-handedness; and brief facts about the use of EEGs, MRIs, and CT scans are included. These titles are ideal for classroom use.-Christine E. Carr, Lester C. Noecker Elementary School, Roseland, NJ
