Secret Service Special Agent Meghan Connors left Texas with dreams of protecting the president of the United States. Instead, she's back as part of a team protecting the vice president's substance-abusing daughter, who has been threatened by a drug dealer. The agent in charge, Ash Zinders, has absolutely no use for female agents and isn't reluctant to express his bias. The ranch, owned by one of the veep's cronies, seems a perfect place to hide the young woman as she recovers from her addictions with the help of a doctor who espouses alternative remedies and a full-time nurse. The ranch soon comes under assault, leading to murder, an arrest, and media frenzy. Meghan needs her faith, Ash's support, and the resourcefulness of the woman she is supposed to protect to stop a massive conspiracy that threatens the country.
